The Wall

We believe walls are for writing – and hanging photos of the Route 58 Meshpuchah (That means family). This page is a place where we welcome customers and fans to leave comments. Got something nice to say? Put it on the wall.

Want to become a member of the meshpuchah? Ask your waitress for an “I’m Trying to Get on the Wall” card. You’ll never eat better.

I'm a die hard Jersey girl born and raised. My hometown is North Caldwell, a skip away from Livingston. I have to say, in the four years I have been in Hampton Roads, Route 58 is the closest thing to home I have here. Completely and perfectly authentic! Thank you!

They should carry you out to your car when you're done! Stuffed! BTW, are you going to eat your pickle?

Delicious food. One of my favorite places.

I am originally from upstate NY, where a lot of NYC folks went for the summer. Needless to say, I've had my fair share of food like 58 Deli serves!
I am SO GLAD they decided to open up here in VA Beach! This type of restaurant is exactly what is needed here! I have a list of foods I miss from NY, and I can get ALL of them here!
See you during VA Beach's Restaurant Week!

I grew up in Newark/Belleville NJ, I've been to over 15 countries and a handful of states since I left home in '99. This is the FIRST place that's made a REAL sandwich ANYWHERE since I left. Top Notch!

Oye! The Pastrami Reuben, Potato Knish and Matzah Ball Soup - SO GOOD!

I, too, studied at the great institutions of Wolfies, Rascal House and Pumpernicks in Miami Beach - grew up there! Route 58 Deli is 5 stars - the best!

The food and service was awesome!

The only request I have is to provide customers with bibs. I used a dozen napkins to wipe my face while eating the hot pastrami and swiss!

Jeff - You are the man!

I ate here a few weeks ago after a friend at work mentioned it. He said the portions were huge. He was right. I had the Reuben. It was huge but I had to eat it all just to say I did it. Don't be afraid to ask for extra napkins... you'll need them. I found the flavor superb. Not only that, the deserts are out -of-this-world.

I first walked into this place when you were at First Colonial. I was amazed how great the food tasted and the size of the portions! Since then I've continued to come in and each time I'm taken back to a happy place where the food is great and the staff is awesome. Keep up the good work and great food!
